Happy fall ya'll

Well not much and lots going on with me. I am in the midst of transitions here at the church. I honestly don't know what all that entails until next week when we have a meeting and all the details are laid out. I know changes will be made I am just not sure how those changes may or may not affect me.
I agreed to help a local abstinence program while one lady is on medical leave of absence. So that may take of lots of time. I also agreed to volunteer at a local Christian school. Some days I wonder where will i find the time to do this.
I am still doing the youth ministry at church, we meet every Thursday from 630-830. We are going through a 9 bible study, "Experiencing God" It has been good for the girls i have right now. I am hoping this will bring them to a place where there faith become much more their own.
I am also still working 3rd shift 3 days a week, more when they need me. Lest i forget I am taking 1 class at Cleveland STATE UNIVERSITY toward a masters degree. so yes I AM BUSY. :) I have no IDEA when i have time to breath.
well this is my life right now. it is busy but it keep me out of trouble.
May you experience God today.

Jo Eichelberger-Smith and her family came to visit me on September 5-9. It was such a wonderful change of pace to spend time with them. I was able to just hang with them due to taking some time off from my jobs. It was so absolutely wonderful to spend time with them. As i was looking through the pictures I realize I sure do miss them now that htey are not here. What wonderful friends I have. GOd has blessed me with some great friendship that always love me and bless me no matter where i am at and what is going on. Love you jo & joe.... thanks for coming to visit.

Summertime.

I love summer. I love sunshine, and the beach, I Love life's little adventures summer brings. I have had some tough stuff happen in my life this summer too but God is good.

My beloved Pastor resigned on August 3rd. That was a blow. I am still grieving this loss. God has told me to persevere here for now. At this point I am not sure it will be for much longer but for today I'm persevering. Please pray for me about this.

Life has brought positive adventures too. I have gotten to spend lots of time his summer with nieces and nephews and also with a family in my church who had a near fatal tragedy. Paul, the dad, was hit by a car on June 17Th. He was in a coma for about 3 weeks and was released from the hospital on August 1st. is doing fabulously. God has taught him much which in turn has taught me much. He died 4 times and stood before the Lord and was told the same things.. Basically Love the LORD your God with all your heart soul, mind, and strength, Love your Neighbor as yourself. While he was in the Hospital I was able to spend many days with his children so his wife could make the hour trip to see him. That was a blessing.

My family had a surprise party for my dad on August 9Th and we had a family picture taken. There were 35 peole in the picture. This includes my parents, mysiblings, their spouses, my niecs and nephews, greast neices and nephews and the connections to the neieces.I'll upload these photos this week.
Enjoy the summer and remember God is at work around you.

ohio winters

well it has been over a month.... i am not very good at this blog thing. I'm going to try to give you a rundown of my life weeklyor more consistantly from now on. :) As they say, "even the road to hell is paved with good intentions." I do not think I'll go to hell for my bad bloggin'
My month since I last wrote. Well two of my niece have had babies, a boy and a girl. My Friend Mary moved to Mississippi. She has a cute little apartment she is slowly making even cuter. We had youth group 2 times, went to Columbus for a youth conference, took 3 students to that. Youth group is in transition right now so the numbers are down. My prayer is during this time those who come will be encouraged in their faith and grow deep and then begin to reach out wide. This has been a difficult month in some ways. You know winter in Ohio is tough. The Lack of sun and snow up to your eyeballs causes a bit of depression. But we are moving past that, even though today the snow is falling again. We had three days of sunshine and no snow for the weekend so I can be optimistic that winter will be done soon.:)
Oh i also went to a churchwide dinner around Valentine's day. We had lots of fun. We played this game call musical clothes and each time the music stopped you had to reach in and put on the article of clothing you pulled out of the bag. At one point all that was left was this really bad wig I pulled it out and said "I don't need this here pastor" i gave it to Pastor Ed, (HE is a bald man) so it was a hoot. We laughed a ton. You know laughter s good medicine, especially when you have been trapped by winter for it seems like six months:). We played several very funny games. Thanks Jane for planning those crazy games.
On Sunday my family got together because my niece who lives in North Carolina came up for the weekend. Her Little guy Christian was here for a month and she came to get him. Many were heard saying welcome to the baby convention at my mom's on Sunday. We have at the point 3 baby's under 7 months old. You must remember my family is about 30 people give or take a few when you include all the spouses of kids and grand kids of my parents. It was fun seeing everyone and holding the babies. oh by the way there are still 2 more babies "cooking" (as we like to say)due in May and June. My family are like rabbits:), LOL. I love them and I really love the fun we have when we get together. The boys being Ninjas, the girls playing Hanna Montana, and the big girls chatting in the kitchen while the guys 'watch' the race. Really i think they were all sleeping. Our chatting can sometimes be hurtful but thanks to pastor's sermon on our tongue we all kept our tongues in check which is a good thing. I love my family they are all so different but such wonderful people. I really adore them.
I have decided I have no pics of these fun and exciting events in my life so i guess i should either use the camera i have or go get a good one, but get some pics. sorry just a reminder to myself.:) oh by the way did i tell you its snowing again, and man is it coming down today... it looks pretty, good thing i don't need ot go anywhere today, actually tonight i have to go to my 3rd shift job, i forgot about that. OH well it shoudl be ok by then.
See you next week... ill try to get pics of life's' events.
reading a great book today, "The Kingdom Focused CHurch", by Gene Mims

holidays- I'm thankful that Jesus is the reason for all seasons

The hoilidays all over for 2007 and now we've begun 2008. I can not believe it is already 2008. WOW! I remember as a child thinking that the year 2000 was soooooo far way. I remember thinking then that it was so far away I would not be alive then and now 2008 has come. God is soo very good. 2007 had many blessings and 2008 has already had some.
My Christmas was pretty low key but fun. Christmas Eve other than going to church i did not do much. My family went to my sisters but I did realize they were unitl it was time for me to go to my 2nd job. Which was still ok. I hung out at my sister Lauries on Christmas day with most of my family. I enjoy this christmas and i was able to buy a little something for all the special people in my life. nothing big but a token of God's love for them. That made it good. I was able to focus my thoughts on the savior and the hussle and bussel ofmaterialism.
My January has been great so far. The beginning of the month was difficult but once i got past the discouragment and moved on with life it has been great. God is so faithful to answer our prayers. My prayer has been and will continue to be that i will be a mighty warrior for God and a frontline soldier and not a coward. He has been faithful to give me strength to live that way....
